Gilbert is a Chartered Accountant with membership of The Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana), holder of Bachelor of Commerce certificate and Master of Business Administration (General Management) certificate from the University of Cape Coast.
Gilbert has more than 22 years of work experience in organizing and directing accounting departments, internal audit units and carrying out financial reporting and analysis for public sector organizations. He has a strong accounting and management skills with extensive knowledge in public sector accounting, budgeting, strategic management, internal audit reviews and fraud investigations. He has also had a stint with the United Nations in South Sudan where he worked alongside other colleagues in developing strategic plan and operational policies for a law enforcement agency as well as developed the capacity of the accounting staff in budget preparation and implementation. He is also an associate member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
